I'm concerned about the Preamble being misquoted, especially if we are open to the general AA public.

Welcome Chris B.! Consider yourself at home!

This is a wonderful way to go to a meeting when you can't GET to a meeting (e.g.: 2 a.m., snowbound, etc.).

Hope you'll keep coming back....

Congrats, George. An AA anniversary is a wonderful thing: both a celebration and an affirmation that the AA program most definately CAN work, and that we can become happy, joyous, and free, a day at a time!

Wishing you a happy one....

Welcome (and Gidday!) to Doug, Gloria, and Robyn - I love these (very) long-distance meetings! But really - what's a few thousand miles between friends?

Keep coming back....

My first share on resentment was fairly dry. This one will seem positively dessicated. REgarding trad 11.

It seems to me that with this question on www all you can go with is your feelings. For me the 11th tradition is about protecting the fellowship from its membership as much as the other way around. It is there to stop the big shots from making a dog's bereakfast of it all, rule 62 and trad 4.

To share E mail address amongst the membership is vital, but to post them on the www is dangerous in my opinion, for trhe returnee as much as the fellowship. I feel that the secretary should distribute upon request, by forwarding the request to the address in question. It is then up to the individual if they wish to respond.

Another matter is the fact that we are all sick people trying to get well, and thre is a singular possibility that an alcoholic with a resentment might just think it a good idea to drop a few viruses or logic bombs around the rooms. Call me paranoid, but I feel that it is not for the best at this time. Perhaps a chat line in the website may prove the vehicle to carry such messages from member to member. Yours in fellowship , Doug.
