Business meeting

Since Bob stepped down from Treasurer, Perry H. has become Treasurer and Joanie O will be Alt. Treasurer. It was also decided that the position of Chairperson is unneccessary and is eliminated.

We discussed the attendance decline and are taking some steps to get more members.

It was voted that we are going to open up the meeting WORLDWIDE!! We will have links from a few other AA organizations, and list our meeting in the search engines. We are very excited about this !

Perry H. has made up cards with our address to distribute locally, as well as Joanie O who is making up flyer announcements to hand out at distict meeings. Also the secretary will e-mail everyone from original e-mail meeting, as a reminder of the address change.

Tim V. has resigned from the position of GSO Liason which leaves the position available for anyone who is interested. The duties include keeping GSO informed of our progress and updating them on any changes, and keeping up to date on GSO policy on electronic meetings. Hope everyone has a happy sober week. Your Staying Cyber Secretary, Cherise D

Round up the wagons and lets head for sobriety around the world! I thinks it is really wonderful what this group can do to help others. I wonderif a Chinese persons computer can translate an English speaking meeting?

Just wanted to thank Tim and Barry for all the site work you have done. I am sure that it has enhanced you sobriety!

I was thinking about a translation program too, Perry -- but they can really foul up slang words! Maybe Don't drink and go to meetings always translates clearly!!!

It has been brought to our attention, by one of our members, that the issue of going WORLDWIDE, should have been a decision made by all members, (not just the steering committee) due to the importance of it. We hope to have a Steering Committee meeting (if all members can attend) on October 5th at 7:00 at Barry and Cherise's house, to discuss procedures and to straighten out this issue. If any member cannot attend on this date, please e-mail the Secretary in order to assure attendance by all. Thank you, CheriseD.

Pardon Me fellows, but I am looking for a "voting link". Has anybody seen one? If you know where it resides please leave me a note at chebard@ptd.net. Thank you for your time and co operation.

There will be an email address on the web site next week so that all members may vote on opening up the meeting to the web. Using email to vote is the simplest way to vote while maintaining a secret ballot and to verify that each member casts only one vote.

The Steering Committee will meet in the future so that we can solidify the Guidelines on voting and other matters of the meeting and post them on the web site for all to see.

Sorry for any confusion this all may have caused. Communicating through short emails and posts can sometimes be inadequate.

We are trying to make things as simple as possible while maintaining the Traditions. This is not always easy to figure out due to the technical aspects of the internet.
