I came here just to feel linked to the Convention. One day I might just make it there. I have just been going to my regular meetings and helping newcomers when they ask. Someone asked at the noontime group here if we were going to meet on the July 4th Holiday. I asked him if he drank on the 4th of July. Duh. My noon group meets every day no matter what and we read and discuss the Daily Reflections book which takes us through the steps and tradition month by month.
Sobriety still feels good to me no matter what I am going through.
Sigh

Hi Ho!
The closing was good, three speakers one native american, and youngish woman and an oldtimer. A country western band kicked it off, played a bit at the end then a short film of San Antonio TX with a mariachi band taking the stage and then fireworks, in an indoor stadium, very unique and awesome.
Well folks, the AA mothership spread her love and joy for 3 days, not a angry word spoken to anyone, love and tolerance abounds and our Dean S. went on a 12 step call just after the closing, passing it on . . the wheels of AA keep on turning.
I'm off on a Sober Sail on the lake with the UK gang et all . .
My love to YOU,
jan

HEY this seems to have been an awesome experience to be linked to the Toronto convention!!!
WHERE were all my British and Belgian mates that were over there?? I know quite a few who were there, didn't see any of them posting though.
What aqn amazing event this one turned out to be, glad you all had a great time, Me - I have just spent almost 3 weeks in Belgium, so haven't had computer access, just got home in the early hours of this morning (VIA the West end of London, cos I missed a turnoff on the M1!!) Amazingly easy driving through central London at midnight - FAR easier than driving across Brussels!!!
Thanx Techs and Jan and everyone else who made this online link work, great to read this page this morning.

Went on the sober sail and had a ball! We partied, ate, danced into the wee hours, all while crusing the Toronto city skyline lake front, warm breezees and the best company to be had! I'm on the red eye back to Paris tonight and in the loving arms of my sober husband and little boy, both of whom, I dearly miss.
Well, of to see some sights and last minute shopping.
My love to all,
jan
PS: Matthew, loved the update!
